Or Chadash is once again happy to extend an invitation to the entire Jewish community to worship with us during the upcoming High Holy Days. Or Chadash is a Reform Jewish congregation, with members in Montgomery and Frederick counties. The temple welcomes and currently includes many interfaith families. The congregation offers an extremely wide range of activities for adults and children.
The suggested donation is
$180 per person for all High Holiday services
$120 for one Holiday

High Holiday admittance is provided without charge to any individual who becomes a member in good standing of Or Chadash prior to the High Holidays!
From 9:45- Noon on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, PTO and CORY will be offering age appropriate, holiday-related activities for children in 3rd grade and younger.
While you enjoy services, your child(ren) will enjoy holiday stories, singing, an arts and crafts project, as well as a traditional New Year's snack (apples and honey.) This program is free of charge and open to members and non-members alike.

YOM KIPPUR MID-DAY ACTIVITIES Following morning services, choose one of our early afternoon activities before attending afternoon services. You can enjoy a spiritual nature walk led by Saul Schwartz at nearby Damascus Regional Park, or a discussion led by Rabbi Kobey.
YOM KIPPUR BREAK THE FAST All are welcome at our break the fast following services. There is no cost, but we do ask you to bring a dish to share:

Sivan 6 - Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments to Israelites at Mount Sinai over 3000 years ago. Shavuot means "weeks" as Torah was given 7 weeks after the Exodus from Egypt. First harvest was brought to the Temple on Shavuot.
