Chanukah begins on Tuesday Dec. 4 at sundown! Click here for the blessings for lighting the candles.

Shabbat is always a special time at Congregation Or Chadash. (Click on the "Sabbath" menu button to the left for more information about our Sabbath observance).

Holiday services and festival observances unite the entire congregation. Beginning the year with a Break-the-Fast after Yom Kippur, we frequently dine together before Shabbat services and festival celebrations. Building the Sukkah is a family event, and on the Shabbat during Hanukah we light our family menorahs together in the sanctuary. About one hundred members attend the congregational seder at Passover. Our Jewish year revolves around communal prayer and participation as we join to celebrate the sacred.
