Israel programs/Congregation Trip to Israel – Planning Meeting
Wednesday, August 25, 7pm
The Adult Education Committee seeks congregants to attend a planning meeting focused primarily on Israel programs and a possible Congregation trip to Israel. At the calendar meeting, we picked a variety of different days and times for Israel programs, to attract a broader audience of congregants and their families. The first such program is set for Tuesday, October 25, 2010, at 6:45 p.m. These programs will vary – and could, for example, include speakers from the Israel Embassy or the Religious Action Center. Some of the programs will focus on exploring options for potential trips to Israel, tentatively scheduled for July 21-31, 2011 (e.g., should we join an already scheduled URJ trip, should we partner with another reform congregation). Help us target programs that will engage our congregants in learning about Israel! Please contact Saul Schwartz for additional information.
